This programme is a leadership development programme as opposed to a training programme. the difference being that our programme focuses on:

  • Embedded learning
  • Resulting in each manager having a greater range of exercisable choices
  • Leading to discernible behavioural change.

This is leadership ion context or sititional leadership.  best practice leadership models and frameworks will beb shared with participants including a number of self awareness tools and questionnaires.

Programme Objectives

The objective of the programme is enhanced performance resulting in a competitive edge in the workplace. The UCD leadership development intervention will provoke the managers to review the ‘what and the how’ of their approach to business, and implement changes in strategy, tools, and behaviour.

Who Should Attend

Managers, Supervisors and Team Leaders within International Financial services who have people management responsibilities, who have a consistent track record of achievement and who are considered by their employer as potential senior managers or who are deemed ready to take the next step in their career advancement.

Programme Content

This 5 day programme consists of 4 modules - 1*2 day module and 3*1 day modules

Module 1(2 Days): Core od Leadership, Management Skills

Thsi module will bring participants through a number of self assessment questionaires to give them a level of self awareness and a basis for a personalised development plan. They will be introduced to a number of different management styles and leadership styles whicl will give them a good basis to develop their own styles and to understand the difference between management and leadershop and when each should be exercised.

Module 2 (1 Day): Personal Development and Staff Development, Motivating Staff, Increased Productivity through Excellence in Management

Participants will learn about the key factors which inpact on the building and the maintaining of High Performance Teams as well as increasing their awareness of the factors which influence theri own team's motivation and engagement.

Module 3 (1 Day): Dealing with Adversity, Decision Making Under Pressure, Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution

This module will develop the ability to investigate problems, their impact, severity and causes while leading others through a process of developing creative solutions. It will also develop participants' understanding and ability to apply best practice conflict resolution as well as giving them a wide range of the tools to handle different types of conflict.

Module 4 (1 Day): Time Management & Stress Management and Skills to Handle Operating in an Intense Deadline Environment

This module has been designed to assit participants with the challenges that they face in today's environment of delivering value in challending environments and to challenging deadlines. It willl look at time management and stress managment techniques to assist in reducing the stress while increasing the productivity.
